MacBOT Successfully Tests Autonomous Retrofit System on a Toro Mower

MacBOT recently completed a successful field test of its Autonomous Mower Retrofit System on a Toro commercial mower. The test was conducted on a lawn near our Dallas-area office, allowing our team to evaluate the system under real-world mowing conditions.

During the test, the retrofitted mower successfully followed planned straight-line paths while maintaining consistent mowing patterns. The system also detected obstacles in its working area, stopped safely, and navigated around them before continuing along the mowing route.

The test demonstrated several key capabilities of the MacBOT system:

• Autonomous straight-line driving and mowing
• Accurate route following
• Obstacle detection and automatic stopping
• Autonomous obstacle avoidance
• Smooth continuation of the mowing task after bypassing an obstacle

Most importantly, the test showed how an existing commercial mower can be transformed into an autonomous mowing machine without replacing the entire mower. By adding autonomous navigation and driving controls to reliable equipment already in use, MacBOT provides a practical path toward reducing repetitive labor and improving mowing efficiency.

This successful Toro mower test marks another important step in the development and real-world validation of the MacBOT Autonomous Mower Retrofit System.
