In May 2024, after more than a year of product development, the first engineering sample Atomo fully autonomous lawn mower for customer demonstrations was shipped from the factory to the company’s headquarters in Richardson, TX. This machine boasts capabilities such as 8-10 hours of continuous operation without operator intervention, obstacle detection and avoidance, four-wheel-drive all-terrain mowing, and the ability to operate in low-clearance environments (below 2.5 feet). Following debugging and confirmation of its expected performance, the company plans to arrange product demonstrations over the coming months for sod farms, commercial landscapers, solar farms, and orchards in Dallas and surrounding areas. During an interview with local media, the company’s president, Roger Leon, stated: “We are extremely proud of our engineering team for overcoming numerous challenges in such a short time to deliver a product that fills a gap in the market. Of course, no matter how flawless our internal testing may be, it cannot compare to real-world customer environments. Next, we will focus on providing demonstrations and conducting extended testing with our customers to better understand any shortcomings of the product. This will lay the foundation for ongoing improvements to meet customer needs.” The company has already scheduled product demonstrations and tests with more than 10 interested customers in June.
